NEW CENTURY SGA
STUDENT GOVERNMENT ASSOCIATION
The primary purpose of the SGA is to represent the student body and provide a unified voice. This includes, but is not limited to the following:
Serving as a forum for the presentation of student interests and acting to further these goals.
Enhancing the intellectual life of the school.
Working with the administration and faculty to ensure that adequate programs are provided to meet student needs.
WHAT DO WE DO?
The SGA is here to serve New Century. The SGA is responsible for the planning and execution of some of our biggest school-wide events including the Homecoming Dance, Spirit Week, Pep Rallies and Alumni activaties. We also work on smaller projects like the NCTHS Announcement Board and Student Mental Health initiatives.
The SGA collaborates with and supports official NCTHS clubs by providing financial support in the form of grants.
On the class level, the SGA sponsors class group chats. We are ready to listen to your ideas.

INTERESTED IN JOINING AS AN EX-OFFICIO MEMBER?
Every student at NCTHS, except those elected to office, is technically an ex-officio member of the student government. Ex-officio is a Latin term meaning by virtue of office or position. Ex-officio members are persons who are members by virtue of some other office or position that they hold. With the exception of voting, these members have exactly the same rights and privileges as all other members, including joining and leading committees, proposing ideas, and participating in debate- without any of the obligations.
HOW TO JOIN THE GROUP CHAT
